Today I visited Mathildas Market, which showcases handcrafted baby and childrens' items from local artists. I went with my friend Kellie, and with both of us managing to offload our beloved offspring for the day (an occurance rarer than Haleys Comet) we were like kids in a candy store!
I almost hyperventilated as soon as I walked through the door; I've been to many markets in my time, but this one was like the best of the children's section of Etsy in one hall had me salivating over almost every stall.
Needless to say, we walked out with more than a few little bits and pieces for ourselves and as gifts for friends and family. Here are are just a few of my fave discoveries of the day:
... and that's just a few! You can see why my purse is empty this afternoon. Mathilda's Markets are run in each capital city: visit the website here for details!
I was there too! I still haven't told hubby how much I spent....he'll find out soon enough though!
ReplyDeleteI will definitely have to go along to the next one's here in WA - looks great! Must have been lovely to be able to browse without having a pram to push around!
ReplyDeleteMum/toddler/babe did you take your kids? What did you score at the market??
ReplyDeleteAmanda, hopefully the WA version is as good as Sydney, well worth a visit and yes definately avoid prams, I found myself having to elbow my way through the crowd even without a pram, would have been impossible with one...
oh darn it, was it up here? i'm always missing the baby markets. hopeless! looks like you scored lots of goodies! jealous x
ReplyDeleteI did take Little Miss Z and had my mum and sis in tow. Bought a couple of dresses for Z, some art, some purses for Chrissie gifts and of course.....cupcakes!! Will blog to show the dresses soon.
