A bit of homemade couture, perfect for the party season! I can't help but think Fern looks the absolute sweetest in this dress, made all the sweeter by my knowing I made it for her, with love.
Want to make your own pillowcase dress? There are lots of instructions on the net, like this one. Mine I kinda made up myself as I am not very good at following (or understanding!) instructions. It's literally just a pillowcase, 2 metres of blue ribbon and some cotton! Flushed with my success I think I'll keep my eye out for more fun vintage pillowcases to make dresses with, can a girl ever have too many dresses, I ask you??
Have a great weekend x
Absolutely love it!! Just so so gorgeous...what a little doll she is :) x
ReplyDeleteOh Nicole, Fern looks like such a little darling in it!! Her hair is really growing (I notice the matching hair bow) and is at a similar stage to Grace's slow growing mop :) The fabric is really lovely and perfect for a dress of this kind - super sweet on gorgeous little Fern! x
ReplyDeleteClever Mummy! And Fern looks adorable x
ReplyDeleteFern looks beautiful. Love the dress, and love the little pout in the first pic too :)
ReplyDeleteThat is lovely! I never find nice pillowcases in the oppy. THey are usually a bit gross. I ALWAYS look though. One day I might be lucky, right?
ReplyDeletePS she looks quite grown up in this pic!
