She Said the 'Eff' Word...

I have a terrible, terrible confession to make.

My daughter is not yet two-and-a-half.

This afternoon, as I was getting her up from her sleep I accidently knocked over a picture frame mounted on the stand beside her bed.

My daughter said:

"Fucking hell!"

"What did you just say?" I asked her. Maybe I had misheard. Maybe it was "trucking bell". Or something.

"Fucking hell!", she repeated.

Great.

Just great.

I don't know where this has come from. I never. ever. say the 'eff' word.

Except when I drop things. Or fall over something. Or hurt myself. Or am exasperated.

Rarely ever.

OMG.

Folks, I am a terrible terrible mother! If motherhood were a car, I'd get double demerits and lose my license for this heinous crime!

My angel is a potty mouth. And it's my fault! How am I going to redeem myself and stop this evil word from ever tumbling from her strawberry-scented lips again?!?

the 'eff' word has fallen from this angel's mouth.... :(

  3. Sorry Nicole, I have to giggle. And look on the bright side... at least her vocabulary is expanding and it wasn't the 'C' word :) x

  5. I was looking after my cousin's child and every time she dropped something, she too said the "F" word. She was also 2 at the time. I have to confess that I am also guilty of having a potty mouth on occasion.

  7. Your little potty mouth is just gorgeous! For some strange reason, I NEVER swear! According to my kids..stupid, shut-up and hate are all swear words. :)

  12. Ahh, you have me in fits. Happens to the best of us, trust me! Don't those words seem to have so much more impact when they come from kids? I keep trying to clean up my potty mouth... to no avail.

  13. Ha ha! Reminds me of the time my eldest was about 3 and I was changing his little brother's nappy, it was a real stinker and when he walked past, he looked at the mess and said "JAYSUS"!!! Nobody to blame but me for that one!
